Bringing Mindfulness to Life (BMTL) short course aims to bring mindfulness to daily life wherever you are. The course will increase your self-awareness and equip you with daily life skills to:

  • deal with stress and stressful situations
  • procrastinate less and get more done
  • let-go of worrying and other un-helpful habits
  • live with greater calm, clarity and confidence


The Program

BMTL consists of four, two-hour classes and daily practice between classes, supported by a comprehensive course handbook. Classes are usually weekly but can also be scheduled fortnightly or monthly.

Each class includes

  • information and instruction related to the theory and practice of mindfulness and its application to daily life
  • guided mindfulness meditations
  • small and larger group activities, discussions and reflection focused on applying mindfulness to everyday situations
  • recommendations for on-going practice between classes

Participants are invited to commit to 20 minutes of daily mindfulness practice between classes. A course handbook and guided practice recordings are provided to support you with this.

The course was designed in response to numerous pleas from busy people whose schedules prohibited them from attending eight consecutive classes, or from those who wanted a short refresher or taster course. Since its pilot in 2014, BMTL has been offered in all different locations all across Eastern Australia.
